Gin Team wins the SRS Piedrahíta
Gin Team takes the team victory at the SRS in Piedrahíta, with Carlos Lopes winning the overall classification and Martina Centa taking the women’s title.

The Gin Team secured another team victory in the Sports Racing Series, this time at the SRS Piedrahíta in Spain.
Held from 22 to 29 August, the event was originally scheduled for seven tasks, with three valid tasks eventually completed, due to difficult weather conditions.

Carlos Lopes finished the competition at the top of the overall classification, while Martina Centa claimed the win in the women’s classification. Both pilots flew the GTO 3.

With another team victory and wins in both the overall and women’s classifications, the SRS Piedrahíta adds another team success to Gin’s 2026 competition season.

Congratulations to all the pilots for the good performance!

🪂 Alpen Cup 2026 | Task 3

🪂 #vololibero #parapendio #monteavena #paragliding #paraglidinglife #bassanodelgrappa #rubbio

After two cancelled editions, I was so thrilled to finally participate in the 2026 @trofeomontegrappa 🇮🇹

I came here hoping to do my best and have the chance to do some gaggle flying with the best pilots. Well, it didn’t happen... I arrived in a really bad place, mentally and physically. The first days were tough: fear in the air, pain, dark thoughts, and a big feeling of failure.

Day by day, things slowly shifted. Surrounded by kind people, flying in such an incredible place, I let go of expectations. After completely fucked up the 1st task and decided to land safely before the stop of task 2, I reached goal on day 3 and it felt so nice! Then again on days 4 & 5, and I started to feel like myself again in the air.

My brain didn’t work properly, I cried as much as I laughed but I kept going.

Mental health is still something we don’t talk about enough. Changing antidepressants right before the comp wasn’t the easiest not maybe the best choice, but I needed to move forward. It was hard, but I truly believe this week was part of my healing process.

Thank you to the Organizers, the French team, and all the pilots I met for the good atmosphere, the support, the laughs… and yes, even the tears ❤️

Congratulations to the winners @constance_mettetal & @baptiste_lambert_paragliding ✨

Monte Grappa Trophy Recap 🌞

First comp at this level and my first time at Monte Grappa - so I came in with zero expectations. After a rough winter I just wanted to fly, learn, and see where I stand.

Day 1 was overwhelming. So many gliders in the air and I felt completely out of sync, like I forgot how to fly. Still made goal, but it was more survival than anything else. 😂

From Day 2 onwards things started to click. Every day I felt more comfortable, made better decisions, and managed the conditions more confidently.

In the end: 3x goal, 1x bomb out, 1x canceled.
Finished 44th overall and 2nd woman. 🥹❤️‍🔥

I learned a lot in this comp - about decision making, staying patient, and trusting my own flying. Especially not being fully fit yet, I’m really happy with how it went.

Now I’m even more excited for the season and motivated to give my best. Next comps are already coming up back-to-back, so the focus is on getting my body and endurance ready again.

9 XC comps and one big hike & fly race ahead - this is just the beginning. 🌈

Super inspired by the level here, proud of the German team, and especially @kiliexperience - amazing flying, even if the last task didn’t go his way. 💔
