The wide receiver position was absolutely loaded in 2000 🔥

Torry Holt led the league with 1,635 yards, but Rod Smith, Isaac Bruce, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss and Marvin Harrison were all putting up monster numbers too. Even the bottom half of this top 10 featured stars like Joe Horn, Eric Moulds and Ed McCaffrey. 🤯

This era had everything—elite route runners, dangerous deep threats, physical playmakers and future legends all producing at the same time. 👏

Wide receiver talent in the early 2000s was on another level. 🏈📺

The late ’90s were absolutely loaded with elite wide receivers. 🏈🔥

Jimmy Smith led the NFL with 116 receptions in 1999, but what makes that accomplishment even more impressive is who he finished ahead of. Marvin Harrison was becoming Peyton Manning’s favorite target, Cris Carter was still making impossible catches look routine, Tim Brown continued to prove why he was one of the game’s most consistent stars, and Keyshawn Johnson was one of the league’s premier possession receivers.

Then you had rising playmakers like Muhsin Muhammad, Bobby Engram, Marcus Robinson, Germane Crowell, and Terance Mathis, while Marshall Faulk was redefining what a running back could do as a receiver.

Every Sunday, defenses had to deal with Hall of Famers, future stars, and Pro Bowl talent all across the league. Jimmy Smith didn’t just lead an ordinary group—he finished on top of one of the deepest collections of receiving talent the NFL has ever seen.

Which receiver from this era was your favorite to watch?👇

Madden 07’s wide receiver room was absolutely ridiculous. 🔥

Torry Holt, Randy Moss, Steve Smith, Terrell Owens, Marvin Harrison, and Chad Johnson were all rated 97 overall 👀

Then you still had Hines Ward, Larry Fitzgerald, Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, and Anquan Boldin behind them. 💯

Who was your go-to WR in Madden 07? 🏈🎮
