I’ve been avoiding this post for a few days because I know that by posting this it makes it official…that my days of putting on that jersey with the E has come to an end. While I’ve tried to rack my brain on what to say, the only thing that I could come up with is Thank You. Thank you ECI Softball. Thank you for giving me the best four years of my life. While everyday wasn’t good, there was always something good in everyday. Thank you to my teammates, present and past. Thank y’all for always giving your all, the moment we stepped on the dirt, and thank you for always having my back. To the ones that came before me, thank you for teaching me what it means to wear the jersey and how big of an honor it is to say that you’re a Lady Dawg. To my coaches, thank you for always pouring into me, for loving me, for showing up when I needed you, and for reminding me to have fun and enjoy it. To the biggest three influential people that I look up to in my life: Coach Wimberly, Big John, and Daddy. Coach Wimberly, thank you for giving me the opportunity to put on that jersey and for allowing me to play with the people that I would end up calling family. Thank you for being someone that I could talk to and for always believing in me whenever I didn’t believe in myself, love you dawg. Big John, thank you for reminding me that it’s a GAME, and thank you for teaching me to not only thank God when things are going good, but to also thank Him for when things are tough. I’ll have more to say after that last travel tournament but until then thank you😂. Daddy… things didn’t end like we wanted it to but at least we still get one last travel tournament together. Thank you for always being my biggest fan, my best Coach, and my best friend. Words can’t express how thankful I am for you and how much I love you. To the team I leave, thank you for everything you’ve put into this season, I love y’all more than y’all know. Don’t forget to have fun and be each other’s biggest cheerleaders in life! Senior Hoco was truly unforgettable! I'm beyond grateful to have represented my class and to have been crowned Homecoming Queen.
