POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

While looking through the LSA Art Auction, these were a few I found myself returning to.

Not because they have anything obvious in common, but because each held my attention differently. Through stillness, colour, atmosphere, movement, or the way the eye is drawn further into the image.

That is one of the things I enjoy most about looking at art. We do not always respond to the same qualities, and sometimes a work keeps asking us to look again before we quite understand why.

These are just a few of the many works included in the LSA Art Auction, raising funds for Leicester South Foodbank.

I’m pleased to be taking part in this year’s LSA Art Auction, where artists from around the country have donated work to help raise funds for Leicester South Foodbank.

The foodbank is hoping to raise £45,000 for a new electric van, helping them collect and deliver food and essential supplies more reliably across the local community.

I have contributed Charm to the auction, but there are many different works to discover from participating artists.

If you are thinking about adding a piece of art to your home, I hope you might have a look through the full auction and see if something speaks to you. Every successful bid contributes to the fundraising effort.

The auction is now live and closes on 3 September at 8 pm.

Today’s fun at University of Leicester Botanical Gardens with fellow artists from Leicester Society of Artists - all part of LSA Art in the Garden. I joined forces with @marychaplinart and Geoff to offer a public botanical printing activity. Adults, children, whole families and individuals all took part. Everyone embracing the creative fun 😄 A lovely and rewarding day in beautiful surroundings.
