One Boston Day! Thank you to everyone who came out in support of the Martin Richard Foundation on this day of service for our beautiful city! Yesterday, Region 11, members from MRF, and members from John Hancock came out strong, doing service for the Pine Street Inn, the first responders and hospitals who were heroes 10 years ago on the day of the bombings, Storytime Crafts, and for all those affected by the tragedy that day.

Special shout out to Reilly Bergin for leading to Martin Richard Service Hero team, and being an AMAZING mentor to her ambs yesterday!

And special thanks to all region 11 alums and ambs who made yesterday so special! YOU make this region so amazing, keep up the amazing work!

Xoxo,
Hōkū and Josie

For #MotivationMonday this Women's History Month, we turn to two 35ONE champions for the leadership lessons that guide them. Eliza Cassella, Director of SEL, Culture & Climate, Salem Public Schools & Mary Cringan, retired educator & chair of Project 351's Educator's Advisory Group reflect on the wisdom of mentors.

Eliza's Mom is her first and best role model, an executive who climbed the corporate ladder at a time when the representation of women in high-powered positions was rare. She recalls her mother's consistency of excellence, rooted in a fierce commitment to fair and ethical leadership and the prioritization of people-first processes. Eliza's philosophy as educator reflects her Mom's steadfast belief in the human potential for greatness that exists in all people.

Mary served as educator for more than four decades, inspiring thousands of students to recognize their gifts and achieve their dreams. A mentor's advice guided Mary's daily devotion: "Make decisions based on what is best for students. You know you've done your job when you can look in the mirror and confidently say 'I've helped a child today.'"

And just like that, Mansfield’s 9.11 Tribute Service is over. We’re happy to announce that we collected 848 items for MMHF in our drive for care packages, raised about $250 for @mamilheroes and successfully united the #mansfieldma community in honoring and remembering those we lost to 9.11 as well as fallen heroes. As we conclude both service and #celebrateandappreciate week, I’d like to shout out some key people who played vital roles in our service.

Thank you to @mansfieldpubliclibrary for being our host site!!! We could never have been as successful without you—thank you, thank you, thank you! 💚🤍

Thank you to @project351 for the incredible opportunity to run this incredible project, as well as being able to serve in Boston on September 11 with @massgovernor, @edmarkey, @wutrain and so many more inspiring people. Special shout out to Cal, Michaela and Charlie for being our fearless leaders.

Thank you to our leaders at Mansfield High School for having a moment of silence during the school day to honor and remember those we lost to the attacks on September 11, 2001.

Huge thank you to @mansfieldmapd for helping spread the word about our projects!! It was so special to be able to include our local heroes, as well as the infamous Bentley!! Thank YOU!

And, thank you to everyone on the Mansfield LT!!! Between painting tribute stones, to fundraising for MMHF, and sorting our donations, you never fail to make it happen.

That’s not even close to everyone who should be thanked for helping with this project, but if you made a donation, served, or supported in any other way, we see you and are grateful for you.
