When my legs go numb and I can’t drive - she drops it all and moves in. When a friend has a rough day, she shows up. When her family is in need, she makes a plan. There’s this image of mom forever ingrained in my mind from 2006. It was our second visit to St. Francis in a month. It was middle of the night and the nurse came in the room to flush the IV. Mom was outside in the hallway and I saw the crown of her head as she sifted through lab results, mri scans, insurance battles, doctors notes. She turned her fear into advocacy that day + she’s made it her mission: To find a cure for MS. Her passion and grit are unmatched.
