On Saturday we attended a very special baseball game. The foundation Gold Glove Charities Inc. matched each child battling cancer with a player on the @thechicagodogs baseball team. They wore matching jerseys and the players played in honor of them. Cole was matched with @tjbauer34 and he couldn’t have been nicer. He also played for @wiubaseball so I knew he was a good one. 😆 He ran the bases with Cole, played catch with the boys on the field and even held Cole during the National Anthem. It’s always emotional seeing so many kids fighting cancer at the same place. It’s a visual reminder that we’re not alone and way too many families are being affected by this awful disease. Your heart aches along with the fellow parents there because you know how they feel. Seeing your child do something as simple as playing catch or running the bases feels really huge.
