This is all about stepping into your own light.

Oftentimes we tend to value ourselves based on what other people perceive us to be. Perhaps what they've known about us or maybe have only seen. Reinventing yourself and stepping into your own light is a process that we are all going to go through at some point in time in our life. You're never truly going to be the same person that you will be from one year to the next. Sometimes even day to day. We change, we grow, we learn, and we develop. This has been a process of my own evolution as I learn to step into the light of what I am meant to be!

Learning to embrace this aspect of life has certainly been a challenge. Learning to become more vulnerable is something that I ALWAYS struggled with. Even today I still find myself asking, "Do I really have a voice 🤔" ...yet something deep down inside says, HELL YEAH YOU DO!! This is the light that I am stepping into.

I'm going to end by saying greatness is in all of us. Even though you may have doubt, rise and step into your light. The world needs to see and feel who you truly are. You have a story to tell and it deserves to be heard, SO STEP INTO YOUR LIGHT!

Every day that I get to put work into the gym is a blessing. I love doing it with the people that share the same type of mindset that I do. The ones that are always striving for development. The ones that are looking to grow both personally and professionally. This is what it means to grow!

For anyone that has been training for any number of years, you know that iron develops more than just strength; It develops mental fortitude, consistency and discipline. It sculpts not only our body, but our mindset. We put hours, days, weeks, months, and years working towards our goals. These are some baseline principles that are no different when you think about the type of success that you want to have in your life and in your business. It takes hard work and it's certainly not easy. However, for those who are ready to make a change, there's a promising fortune out there for those who are ready to claim it.

At the end of the day - be brave, be courageous, be curious, take chances, and seek opportunity!

Ten days post show and feeling good! I’ve enjoyed taking a day or two off of the gym (yes, I really did 😂), intuitive eating, and taking walks. Taking my recomp from the show nice and easy this year. Intuitive eating is a nice change. Thanks, @travibarts 😁 A few of my meals are prepped still. I don’t think I’ll ever fully stop that, but other snacks and meals are more based on energy output for the day and if I’m ACTUALLY hungry. 😉 #lessonslearned #recomp

We had FUN on stage. I met this awesome athlete, Pete! He’s done over 100+ competitions since the early 90s! He looked great and man, he likes to have a fun time. Hers a couple cuts of us messing around. The MC was adding to the comedy. He kept calling me Ramsey and Moses 😂
.
A little advice for any of you new to competing. HAVE FUN!! Yes, it’s a competition, but frankly if you are not having the time of your life during the day of the show, you are MISSING OUT!! Take pics, talk to people, make new friends. Trust me. You will thank me. Pete, you’re an awesome guy and I hope I share the stage again and again with you!! 👏👏👏

Where to start…so, I did something this weekend….

My coach @travibarts and I discussed my conditioning this year was definitely a level up. I chose the Mississippi Championships to do and started planning with @travibarts and @dennis.r.arndt!

I finished out peak week and flew down to Mississippi. When I was at check-in‘s, I got a message from @sam_gymjam!!! We both chose to do this show independently and met up on Friday! Her hubby and sister are the coolest people! Now I had someone to share the weekend with!

I went through pre-judging and felt ok of my stage time, plus there was lots of great athletes! Over the afternoon, I practiced my routine again and did some release work prescribed by my own personal wizard, @dennis.r.arndt. Side note: if you are an athlete and you are not doing recovery work, you need to start! It will help all facets of your progress as an athlete….

Night show!! This was my fifth show, and I have not goofed around with other athletes on stage as much as I did last night 😂 the MC even started messin’ around with us. It was hilarious 🤣

SO, how did I do? @sam_gymjam and myself BOTH took home OVERALLs!!!! She hit it home with Figure and I won over the judges in Bodybuilding. @sam and I cleaned house and are bringing some KILLER hardware home to beautiful MN!

Once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH, to my coaches,
@travibarts - we did it! Two shows. Two physiques that were better than before! 👏👏🤩🤩🥇🥇
@dennis.r.arndt - I really do not believe my posing would’ve been as good without your training and your release work. 🙏
@mason_baer - they made me do the routine my second time for classic which was interesting but fun! I absolutely love the choreography we came up with. I got LOTS of compliments on it!! 👍👍
