$Everyone wants to get faster. So they sprint. And yes, if you want to get faster, you better sprint. But speed development is bigger than just running fast. It’s learning to produce force into the ground. It’s being strong and stable on ONE leg. It’s absorbing force and getting off the ground quickly. It’s stiffness through the ankle and foot. It’s coordination, rhythm and timing. It’s learning to produce force in the right direction, then doing it faster and faster. That’s why you’ll see our athletes doing single leg strength and stability work, jumping, bouncing, sprinting and everything in between. Because when you sprint, there’s no point where both feet are on the ground helping you out. You’re producing and accepting massive forces, one leg at a time, in fractions of a second. We don’t do exercises just to make athletes tired. We’re building the qualities that make athletes FAST. Then we give them opportunities to use those qualities at full speed. Build the athlete. Build the engine. Then let them run. #TrainForLife #RaiseTheTide$
