Fun day 🤩 visiting @cityofhattiesburg and the @hattiesburgparksandrec rails-and-trails bike path; best I’ve seen in all my travels. Special thanks to @jedsbikeshop for the bike rentals and @jeds_perfect_brew for the best coffee I’ve ever had; recommended by @masoncm. Started the morning learning from him, the amazing coach @masoncm who owns @_thetrainingclub. Thanks for the drop in and great facilities.

CrossFit/Appreciation Post 🔥 Big Shoutout to @masoncm at @_thetrainingclub and @vickderek for getting me introduced to CrossFit and holding me accountable along the way (ignore the cropping). This is hands down the most rewarding thing I have ever done. If you haven’t started Crossfit yet, you don’t know what you’re missing 🔥

6 Reasons why I get results and you don’t

1. I warm up longer than you do. If you do at all.
2. I eat 99% of my meals at home by meal prepping. 80-90% unprocessed.
3. When I travel I prep protein forward snacks, track my food (roughly) and continue workouts. 8-12 weeks a year is 15-25% of the year. Fitness is won at the margins.
4. I go to bed on time like a freaking child. I workout when I’m sore (not exhausted). I train through injury (safely do other things) and wiggles and niggles.
5. I have a coach I’m accountable to; I’m scared of him/terrified of disappointing…because I respect him.
6. None of these ideas are my own. I never did these before I got fitter. See number 5. Hire a coach if you want real results. I can’t do it by myself but for some reason you think you can. Make sure they are fitter than you, so they know what it feels like. Hire @masoncm

Awesome time this weekend riding bikes with my friends at the McCllelan Trails, just wish the rear tire had cooperated a little longer. I’ll still take a 22 minute PR over last year with plenty left in the tank for a couple more laps.
