Meet Playwright Kelly Younger! It all started with an article in the Los Angeles Times. When playwright Kelly Younger first read about Hermann Rorschach, the man behind the famous inkblot test, something sparked his imagination. 17 years later, that initial curiosity has become a world premiere on the Skylight stage!

We’re sitting down with Kelly to talk about the inspiration behind RORSCHACH, the journey from page to stage, and what it means to finally share this story with audiences.

Now playing through Nov 22, with performances Fri + Sat at 8pm, and Sun at 2pm.

📍1816 1/2 N. Vermont Ave, Los Feliz (Next to Skylight Books)

Beyond the Script: Go behind the scenes of RORSCHACH with director Cameron Watson as he shares insights into the creative process, the journey from page to stage, and bringing Kelly Younger’s new play to life at Skylight Theatre.

Funny, inventive, and surprisingly tender, RORSCHACH explores perception, human connection, and the courage to be seen for who we truly are.

Opening Night of RORSCHACH at the @skylighttheatre ! What a gift this production is! @kellytheyounger wrote a beautiful, poetic , HUMAN story that @ecamwat Cameron Watson waited 17 years to get produced. As they say, things happen in their own time.

I was so thrilled to be invited to cast this inaugural production with Cam in his new role as Artistic Director. And we found the perfect actors to bring this world to vibrant life! I adore our local LOS ANGELES community of actors and am so grateful to have opportunities to let you shine.

Yes, that IS @octaviaspencer you see here. We thank you for your support and for amplifying the beautiful work being produced right here in LA, with local designers, production staff, artistic staff, performers... all of it.

@masonmcculley Your energy in the Producer's seat is giddily infectious. Your passion is felt deeply, your joy is boundless.

And to this extraordinary cast, have an amazing run. You are all so connected, doing rich, layered, complex, funny, multi-faceted work. You know I'll be back... and I cannot wait to see all the growth that will assuredly be nurtured.

Get your tickets, my community. We need this gentle cloud-mist of a play in the world right now.

What might this be? Your invitation to immerse in joy.
