Up up and away 🦅

Big Congrats to all the Hawks in the class of 2026 that will walk across the stage tonight - you made it to the finish line 🏁 and we are all so #DecaturProud of you.

A special mention goes out to these 23 young men and 1 young woman who made a huge impact in our program and while walking through the halls at DC. They leave behind a legacy of leadership and dedication that will carry on forever: Always pushing to become the best versions of themselves and leaving this place better than what they found it.

2025 Academic All Mid-State 📚🎓

Big Congratulations to a program record 🔟 Seniors who were named to the Mid-State Academic All Conference Team - These young men earned a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher❕

We are extremely proud of these student-athletes for not only being champions on the field, but more importantly, in the classroom❕

We had quite a few Seniors who were very close to the mark with G.P.A.’s above 3.0 - we are #DecaturProud of all of our young men for this awesome achievement❕

What a ride!

So many words… first off thank you Decatur football, you have taught me some of the greatest life lessons. You have shaped me into the person I am today, I am grateful that god has given me the ability to play this beloved sport. This season is the last time that I will ever suit up with my boys, I love and appreciate every single one of you. I appreciate every coach that has ever coached and been apart of my journey. I love my parents for being there for me though it all, even when no one else believed in me you guys did. This past Friday night might’ve been my last game, but the memories, the friendships, and the lessons—those don’t end here. We didn’t get the win this past Friday night, but we have accomplished a lot and should be proud. In the end we walk away as brothers. And I wouldn’t trade that for anything. With all that being said love you guys and #3out ✌🏼🖤

Dear Hawks Football… I can’t believe this is all over, I remember just coming in my first varsity game as a freshman and now i just played my last varsity game as a senior… it hard to believe, but at the end of the day all I can think about is the accomplishment and memories.. I’m going to miss the moments with all my teammates of laughing, messing around, grinding at practice and games, and now crying.. to the people I have spent countless hours and blood, sweat, and tears, I thank you for not only believing in me but believing in this team.. Everyone that has been apart of this team has help me become who I am today, Not only as a player but as a person!.. these memories are special and at the end of the day all it can do is make me smile..
