Villa Rosie | Haaltert, Belgium
Architecture in dialogue with nature.
A contemporary residence defined by clean horizontal lines, generous glazing and a quiet connection to the surrounding landscape.
Our focus was on capturing the relationship between architecture, natural light and the atmosphere of the woodland setting.

The Butterfly House is an ode to the work and life philosophy of Juliaan Lampens. His work was based on creating interconnected living environments, often within a domestic context.

It was precisely this philosophy that inspired Dertien12 to create a new home in Deurle for Jan & Annemie. It is conceived as an open living space, where all daily rituals (celebrating, laughing, crying, working, dreaming, etc.) are carried out under one large butterfly roof. The roof floats above the interconnected spaces and is supported all around by windows. The overall experience of the home is airy and open, bathed in daylight, but always with a feeling of security. Creative and bold, but always homely.
