This car can't be compared to any sedan from those years. BMW M5 E60 V10.

The BMW M5 E60 is what many call the last real M car. Its 5.0L naturally aspirated V10, codenamed S85, was a true game-changer. Inspired by Formula 1 engines, this motor pumped out 507 horsepower and screamed all the way to 8,250 rpm. To put it in perspective, a typical V8 back then made around 400 hp.

But the real star of the show is the sound. Step on the gas, and that growl transforms into a piercing, high-pitched wail that you can't mistake for anything else . This sound makes you forgive all its flaws: the clunky SMG gearbox, the expensive maintenance. That wail is exactly what makes you find any excuse to hit the gas and hear that unforgettable roar one more time.

Today, the E60 M5 is a classic. It's the last of an era when BMW wasn't afraid to experiment and put crazy naturally aspirated engines under the hood. And every time you hear that wail, you know they don't make them like that anymore.
