Liv from last year dreamed of this moment for a very long time 🤍

But never, ever did she imagine she’d cross the finish line at the pace she did at Run Melbourne this year.

I smiled from the very first kilometre to the finish line. Every step was a reminder of how far I’ve come and just how much this sport has changed my life. This race meant so much more to me than a time on the clock. It was about proving to myself you can completely turn your life around, focus on the good and push through the bad. That hard work, consistency and believing in the process really do pay off.

To say I’m proud is an understatement. Every early morning, every training run, every tough session - it was all worth it.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s supported me along the way. To those who said I was crazy for getting up so early or running so many kilometres, thank you for cheering me on anyway. And to my closest friends, thank you for the endless encouragement, for showing up, and for joining me on those long runs.

Run Melbourne, you’ll always hold a special place in my heart 🤍 Here’s to proving that the person you are today can make your past self incredibly proud 🫶🏅

Showing up everyday.

Good days. Rainy days. Exhausted days. 98 hours and 991km later another year richer with the runs and the wonderful community

From the flat-footed kid running last in kindy 60m race - I have now conquered my first marathon with the wonderful people I've met along the way

Never have I imagined my office days are organized around run club seshes.

Never have I imagined I could smile after those grueling intervals after long days.

Never have I imagined I'd reschedule flights and bring 5 pairs of shoes for those runs away from home.

The euphoria after the first full marathon has engrained into my memory. But I must confess it was the training that was the most transformative - catching up old and new friends at every run, seeing the effort put in slowly transpire into better run stats, and the notion that your regular Sunday long runs are the most you have ever run in your life.

Here is to running in #2025. See you all soon in #2026 and #sydneymarathon

Shout out to the wonderful humans and groups along the way
