PLAY [010] HALLOWEEN EVE SHOW
Friday, Oct. 30th 🕸️

We’re hosting a special Halloween Night with hypnotic rhythms, deep grooves, and the darker + harder sounds of the underground with Chicago selectors Madeline, Marinh, and Mastered Key 🌌

Costumes encouraged🖤

Madeline @soft.content is a Chicago-based DJ and producer exploring the sensual side of electronic music. With over a decade of experience at WNUR 89.3FM and Gramaphone Records, their sets draw from the vocals, acid, and jack of Midwest house and techno. Their productions blend sultry, layered vocals and pop songwriting with stripped-back deep house. Since 2023, they have been a Smartbar resident and curator of Statement Piece.

@marinh is a Chicago-based DJ who weaves intricate rhythms and textures into a psychedelic sound. Classically trained, his purist approach to dance music emphasizes steady grooves, intention, and hypnotic movement.

@masteredkey Originally from outside New Orleans and now based in Chicago, Mastered Key is a DJ and architectural designer whose sound bridges Southern club rhythms, techno, electro, atmospheric trance, and UK garage. Her sets blend syncopated grooves, unexpected textures, and tension and release, approaching the dance floor as an intentionally designed space for movement and emotion.

THE SUMMER ENDED WITH CHIAMI!˖ ݁♬⋆.˚𝄞

We needed to take a minute to thank everyone who came out, supported CHIAMI and #YOLO’d with us. Such a nice turn out despite the threat of some impending rain… which managed to hold off until the last 10 minutes of @blesstonio’s set, and y’all just danced even harder once it started 😝⚡️☮️💦🌴It was one. for. the mf. books.📸🧨

HUGEEE thanks to @heyvirago @quade and @blesstonio for bringing the perfect CHIAMI energy to the grassy dance floor at Palmer Square Park, our lovely vendors, anyone and everyone who helped with the setup and sound, everyone who donated, and of course to everyone who came and danced… SO MUCH LOVE!!!

And this goes without saying, but we appreciate all of you that made this safe and fun for everyone. We all deserve spaces where we can freely exist and know that we have each other’s backs, and to keep spaces like this preserved: if something is seen, it must be said and accountability must be held. Point blank period. It’s easy enough in this scene for harmful behavior to dissipate in a haze of “bro codes” and embellished excuses. We owe it to each other to do our part and trust each other to not be complicit, on and off the dance floor.

So thank you to everyone for looking out for each other, loving each other, dancing with each other, & Chiami-ing with each other!! ⋆ 𖤓 ⋆˚࿔

We had so much fun. Huge amounts love to be celebrated! Can’t wait to see what we put together next… and even though summer’s over, we’ve got so much goodness on the way. Catch @masteredkey debut at @smokeandmirrorschicago tomorrow 10/3 spinning 10-12! 😝🫦🤓🔐

& special thanks to @unlicensed_model_ for capturing the event so beautifully 📸

Oh, you thought summer was over? It’s always summer in CHIAMI, silly! For one day, we’re crossing off everything we didn’t get to on our summer bucket list, including a lineup of Chicago’s HEAVIEST hitters…

classically trained, professionally blessed, and spiritually always dancing, @blesstonio brings us a dynamic punchy collection of sounds made for moving to.

certified Chicago superstar and professional party instigator @misstwinkusa is known supplying fierce club pressure and an irresistibly expressive fusion of techno and house.

@heyvirago is known for her sharp ear that can cut its way into any dance floor, bringing joy and movement to any crowd she graces.

king of groove @quad.e_e has built his sound on the juiciest syncopated rhythms combined with heavy hitting drums, a signature that results in pure euphoria every time

@masteredkey is guided by her architectural practice to bridge sonic structures that are made for dancing- expect speedy tempos, funky basslines, and booty shaking techno

Come out. Wear something you’ve never worn before. Invite a friend crush. Eat something tasty. Take blurry photos. Act a little #cray. Buy a trinket or two. When’s the last time you wore glitter? Get a bit sweaty and dance with the sunset while you can. Become a bit obsessive over a track you’ve never heard before. Oh, and support an incredible cause.

Entry is free.99, but suggested donation is $10 - all profits directly benefit ICIRR (Illinois Coalition of Immigrant and Refugee Rights) and… first 50 donations get a very Chiami surprise <3

See you in CHIAMI ;)
