AYO, not gonna lie yall. This has been THE most uneventful year of my adult life. I haven’t done a DAMN thing for myself. I mean there was a couple things, I dropped a song, did some promo for that, judged a fashion show . . . But, for the passed 10 years I feel like I always have had at very least ONE major goal to accomplish wether it’s a fashion show, or a rap show, or an album, throwing a flea market that inevitably gets shut down by the city or traveling to Seattle, LA, and Vegas wit nothing but a laptop. I don’t think I’m being hard on myself, but I more so say this as a blatant progress report. It’s not that I haven’t progressed this year, but I just can’t say I’ve really tried to hard interms of ART and like TRYING TO be somebody.

A feeling has washed over me in the last year, especially when I walked away from my art job, that I have always felt like I was “chasing” a dream. I had to realize that maybe I don’t know WHY I create , or maybe I’ve forgotten WHAT INSPIRES ME ACTUALLY. I had to really reestablish my relationship I think with Art . . again, it’s a process.

This passed year, being forced to step back, take a breath and really figure out what it is that I SHOULD be doing. I accidentally put myself onto so many paths, it’s hard to really pinpoint what I’m MEANT for, especially at this point in my life. I don’t exactly know what direction I want to go. I really just enjoy making stuff, a lot.

Ever since I first had this dream it was “I want to be known for being a great artist,” and what a vaguely attainable goal that is for a 16 year old and how that leaves room for lack of direction. At the same time I think it’s all in attempts to protect and prioritize my freedom. My freedom to create and be whoever I WANT , to be. Whether or not I get there is one thing. It’s the dream that keeps me going I think, and I’m fine with that. Back then I said I’d devote my life to my art. I think I meant it. And eventually , I think it will make sense.

This is more from the archives of my old hard drives I found. I’m finding photos that have never seen the light of day. Believe it or not. These photos were not planned. He was ONLY supposed to help me test out a lighting setup I was working on for a client I had right after this.
