Every choice we make takes us further from another possible life.

Italy reminded me how many versions of myself could exist, how many different lives I could be living, and how much I can love the life I chose while still wondering about the ones I didn’t.

“Else” begins with me deeply attached to a stool. I test my balance, challenge my limits, and always find my way back to it.
Until the curtain opens and reveals a whole world behind me. I discover a different kind of freedom, a version of myself I love. But when I try to return to what I knew, the stool is gone. I’ve changed, and what I thought would always be there isn’t anymore. Somewhere on the other side, another stool appears. I never see it, but the audience does (or was supposed to).. as a reminder that, even if I choose this one, there is always gonna be another life waiting for me to start over.
