Now that I have had time to process, here is my farewell to Once on This Island.
🌺
I cannot fully express what these last 9 weeks have given me. But in short, these weeks have given me the opportunity to roam this Earth with the most full and overflowing heart.
🌺
In my experience, it is not common to find yourself apart of a company that truly meets you where you are. A company of artists that lead with a heart of love and open palms that are ready to hold your hand. I could say that we’ve all made friends, but that would do this kind of love for each other an injustice. We found family. It has been the honor of my life to work with this incredible group, and I will cherish our little Island for the rest of my life.

To Amina, Gina, Mariah, and Terry; thank you. After 15 very long months of feeling invisible in this world and industry, thank you for seeing me. Thank you for giving me the freedom to find our Ti Moune’s spirit in my own way. You have given me so much and I am a better artist and woman for it.

To my wonderful cast mates, you all are the true definition of Ensemble. I have so much respect for each and every one of you and I cannot wait to see where this life leads you all.

Honestly, whose arms are these?! 🤭

Heading into the final performances of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND at The Arden Theatre Co. and I’m so full! So thankful! This has been an incredible experience that I will not soon forget! Cheers to this 🔥 cast, crew, creative team and production!

Before we wrap, I cannot say enough about our Director, @aminarobinson 🥂 You guided this journey with a steady hand and truly brought out the best in everyone! Thank you for this gift. Looking forward to collaborating with you again, and praying that it’s soon!
