My whole life, my closest friends have been women. (In a past life, I was surely a badass lesbian Aries who fought crime or trained sea lions.)

With this group in particular, I feel safe. I feel seen. I feel so, so loved.
We don't just travel, we create a story. We're the main characters, together.

Our superhero squad of baddies:
• We hype each other up
• We join in on every bit
• We never let someone dance alone
• We can never overdress
• We always hunt down the best bite in town

This is a yes-and group. If it seems silly, we're about to get silly. We take up space. We film the greatest tiktoks the internet has never seen. We do it for the attention, and the people who love you most are the audience who truly matters.

When someone needs to wander off on their own to cry, pray, or have a moment, we let them go. We never shy away from each other's worries or pains. It never dampens the mood. A deep hug and the best food are always waiting.

These women taught me to find beauty in myself and in every moment. Life is sexier with them.

A couple weeks in Europe was never about how much we saw. It was about seeing ourselves in a new way, and feeling safe enough to do so. I return to myself shining.

So love your friends. If you're scared to do something, do it for the people who have your back and do it anyway.

Love is the best contingency plan.

Lake Como was straight out of my dreams. Better than my dreams, actually! Every detail so thoughtfully done, and somehow even more beautiful than I imagined. In March, before Alex and Lucas officially booked me, I told them I’d be 32 weeks pregnant at their wedding. They didn’t even hesitate and signed on the line — to have that kind of trust with my couples is so special. I can’t even describe how grateful I am! Their highlights even blew ME away!!! It was hard to take a bad photograph at such a photogenic place with such a photogenic couple! I’m obsesssssed

It was also my last international trip before baby, and phew… 32 weeks pregnant, having Braxton hicks every 5 minutes, with planes, trains, cobblestones, and 70 lbs of camera gear was way harder than I imagined. I couldn’t have done it without my sweet friend Janet (@janet.kaczmarek), who flew in from Mallorca and quite literally carried me (and my bags) through the trip and was another creative photography eye for their wedding day.

I’ve been lucky enough to see 24 countries in this world (Maybe more? I’ve lost count?), and now my whole world is about to change. I’ve heard having your first baby makes life feel renewed, like you’re seeing everything for the first time again. After a lifetime of chasing new places, I’m ready for a whole new kind of adventure. Can’t wait to show him how special this world is. Bring it on!
