Matan Ekstein z”l, “YELED SHEMESH” - our sunshine boy ☀️

We will never forget you 🙏🏻🕯️

On Yom Hazikaron, WIZO California honors the memories of Matan Ekstein z”l and Adir Mesika z”l, former WIZO Hadassim students, who were murdered by Hamas terrorists at the Nova festival.

As WIZO Hadassim graduate and WIZO San Diego chair, I was honored to host this memorial, featuring a heartfelt conversation with Dana Ekstein, Matan’s sister, whose family has shared a long-standing bond with mine.

Matan Eckstein @matanekstein went with his four close childhood friends to the party, On October 7, they were attending the Nova Music Festival near Kibbutz Re’im, dancing, laughing, and having a good time. They had no idea they would soon experience a deadly tragedy.
they were fighting for their lives against murderous Hamas terrorists who infiltrated from Gaza that Saturday morning. Addir, Ilay and Matan were murdered after saving the lives of their girlfriends and friends who were at the party
