What I dream about when I go to bed: this Cereal Milk Matcha Latte for breakfast 🥣☀️

Here’s how to make it:

1. Mix 120ml milk with cornflakes. Soak for 20 minutes.
2. Sift and whisk into a microfoam: 5g matcha with 50ml water 💧
3. Strain and pour the cereal milk into a glass.
4. Top with more cornflakes. Mix and enjoy! 🌞

This cereal drink was inspired by my sisters 👯‍♀️ @matchamari_ @mcha.jess @matcha.ruby @finestmatcha though next time I’ll add ube foam like theirs for indulgence 💜

the girl grip is a badge of honor at this point 😆🧺🍋

inspired by my matcha sister @matcha.ruby 💖 who successfully pulled off the matcha girl grip. i had to try the restock day version. 😭

honestly, a successful grocery run was the only kind of therapy i was looking for today.

remembered i have free will, so the kitchen is finally restocked. from the 1kg greek yogurt and lemons to the blueberries, paratha, and a fresh pouch of seimei from @rebelbunnymatcha 🐇 the garden breakfasts are officially saved for the week 🫐🍵

who knew a simple grocery run could feel this much like a victory ✨

staying faceless but the armful of breakfast ingredients says everything 🤭

which one of these are you grabbing first? for me, it’s always the blueberries 🥣

Before today I honestly couldn’t understand the hype around Ogurayama 😭🍵

The first time I tried it, it felt sooo oceanic to me. Very vegetal, very seaweed-y, although naturally sweet. I actually enjoyed it more over ice because as the matcha diluted, the sweetness became more pronounced and the oceanic notes softened hahaha

For context, I’ve tried it several ways already:

* my usual 70°C prep
* cold whisked with oat milk
* and today… 65°C which by far gave me the best experience 👀

This time I first made a paste using ref cold water (yes experiment lang talaga hahaha) then added the 65°C water after before whisking like usual.

Mind you, habang inaamoy ko pa lang siya I was like “ugh here we go again” because the seaweed aroma was still there 😭 but I still proceeded because malay mo naman diba hahaha

But then first sip???

Brothy, creamy, sweet, vegetal but in a GOOD way. Parang boiled greens that are naturally sweet ganun 😭 like talbos ng kamote vibes hahaha

And for some reason… I was getting this subtle milky dark chocolate note 👀🍫 not literal chocolate ah, but more like creamy cacao depth in the finish. Super sarap na niya for me finally!!!

Honestly wanted another cup agad but that was already 5g and first glass of the day pa lang 😭 quota agad hahaha

Safe to say this will probably be my Ogurayama prep moving forward. I kinda want to try this method with my other Yamamasa tins too 👀

Ratio:
5g Ogurayama from @yamamasa_koyamaen
15g ref cold water
35g 65°C water
90ml oat milk from @oatbedient.ph
5g agave (naglagay pa din ako because trauma from previous attempts HAHAHA)
chasen charms from @her_matcha_ ❤️🌸

Still using my bead sifter from @kinustudio.ph because Miffy supremacy 🐰 but should I get the Hello Kitty or bunny one too so may kapalitan na girly theme? 🙈

Scale is @timemoreproducts x Nutti — another @matcha.ruby budol 🙃

Disclaimer:
Do not hate a blend forever hahaha sometimes kailangan lang talaga hanapin yung prep na bagay for your preference ☺️ This review is based on my own prep and taste preference only 🍵

The world moves fast, but my matcha stays slow.

While everything rushes with deadlines, messages, and expectations, I choose to slow down, even just for a moment 🍃

I know life asks us to keep up so we won’t get left behind. But in between all that noise, we deserve something soft, a quiet pause, a breath, a moment that feels like ours.

This @chazoku Samidori was gifted to me by a fellow matcharista, @matcha.ruby 🤍 I never expected this little matcha journal to turn into something more, parang career na siya hahaha, but more than anything, it gave me connections, shared stories, and a space that feels warm and genuine.

Whisking my matcha is my gentle reminder that I don’t always have to rush.

Good morning ☀️ may your day be slow in the sweetest ways, and filled with the greenest, yummiest matcha 🍵💚
