matcha after work, literally

Spent the afternoon at @matchaafterwork in QC, a whole Pinterest mood in one little matcha-fé.

We had a little taste of their matcha lineup — from the creamy Cereal Milk Matcha Latte and Matcha Strawberry Cloud to the Hojicha Latte for something more roasted & cozy.

Oh btw, tell them your mood, they’ll find the chawan for it 🥣

Our matcha-fé picks:
🌾 Cereal Milk Matcha Latte — creamy, sweet, and nostalgic, with that cereal-milk flavor paired with earthy matcha.
🍓 Matcha Strawberry Cloud — a sweet-tangy strawberry layer topped with a light, creamy “cloud” and matcha for that perfect fruity-meets-earthy combo.
🍂 Hojicha Latte — smooth and creamy with a naturally roasted, nutty flavor from hojicha; a cozy alternative if you want something less matcha-forward.
🥭 Sweet Pause — vanilla mochi + matcha powder drizzle + seasonal fresh fruit

📍8 Kanlaon St., Quezon City
⏰ AFTER WORK Tuesday— Saturday: 6PM- 11PM | Sunday and Monday: 9AM- 10PM
💵 cash + eWallet only for now (soft opening)
🅿️ Limited parking (2 slots right in front)

A cute little spot for your post-work matcha run, slow catch-ups, or just a sweet pause after a long day.

The café that looks like a Pinterest board come to life.

Matcha After Work is not just a drink stop, it's a whole VIBE 🤍✨

Ceremonial-grade matcha + a boutique + the most Pinterest-coded interior I've seen this year. From the lounge corner to the fitting room with that neon infinity sign... I need everyone to see this.

🍵 try: the Kinako Dango Matcha Latte + Sweet Pause mochi

#NewCafeAlert in Q.C. ! After 8 hours of grueling work, I still found time to look for matcha. And guess what? i found the perfect spot, and suddenly the tiredness of the day felt lighter.

Found the perfect spot @matchaafterwork located inside a designer’s atelier, @mariagancouture . It is just 10 minutes away from home making it an easy escape when you want something different without going too far. The place felt like a reward waiting at the end of a busy day.

Upon entering, the lights and ambiance called perfectly. The designer/ owner, Ma’am Maria Gan herself and the matcharista greeted me after a tiring day, and that simple welcome was a delight. It immediately made the evening a little warmer and more relaxed.

What makes this matcha bar unique is that before they prepare your matcha, they’ll ask you, “how are you feeling today?” — whether you’re sad, calm, anxious, happy or frustrated. They’re not just whisking tea, they have a bowl for every feeling. Because every day feels different, and sometimes little rituals matter.

I got to try their Kinako Dango Matcha — roasted kinako, silky matcha, topped with three dango. One sip is enough to make me think “this is perfection!” . It’s so good and definitely a must-try!👌 By the way, they sourced their matcha powder from Japan.

I was almost lost for words with how my day came about. What started as a long tiring day turned into a small matcha adventure—the comforting matcha I had been searching for. It was exactly the kind of pause I needed after a demanding day.

If you’re around Banawe or Q.C. area, and looking for premium matcha and relaxing evening, this is definitely worth the try. My day ended perfectly, and might be yours too!✨

Big thanks to zyreelchua , the talented and kind Matcharista of Matcha After Work.

New Matcha Place that you should come afterwork around Banawe, QC.
Literally named @matchaafterwork 🥹 inside of @mariagancouture

The coziness from the soft lighting is nakaka antok (which is a good thing, only means the place is overall comfortable).

And of course, the matcha itself is delicious.
Fave was the Matcha Einspanner. Tip: Mix the matcha under the cream first, do not mix it with the cream, then drink it like it’s a coffee, let the matcha underneath pass through the cream. It’s the best!

📍Matcha Afterwork, Kanlaon Town Center, Kanlaon St. Banawe, Quezon City (nearby welcome rotonda)
