Tampa’s culinary masterpiece is hidden in Ybor City 🤫 have you been?

I had the pleasure of working with @suz_lara_ at Ella’s, another infamously fine establishment (rip), years ago and witnessed firsthand her dedication to crafting fun, new bites, flavors, and textures that surprised myself and guests alike in all the best ways.

She’s known and entrusted by many as she helped to shape plates that rocked Cass Street Deli and @roosterandthetill before she finally got to open her own doors here with LARA that does. not. miss!

From every detail of the funky space to the Smokey brine of the their take on a classic dirty martini, it seems she’s really thought on everything.

We had the soft shell crab tostada, the soy cured drug eggs (addictive—hence the name), the snapper curry which is becoming a quick staple and current favorite, and the oxtail parpadelle atop a truffle mornay that’s actually making my mouth water again as I write this.

@suz_lara_ and team at @lara.tampa have spent years in the industry preparing for this moment, and it’s time to visit and give them their due flowers.
