Ok so NO ONE DIED (for once) but I’m so bummed that OG Pistola’s will be closing for good 😔 The amount of eating, drinking, and being merry at Jose’s cannot be overstated. There was a great span of years when I would get super excited to have a Philly Beer Scene “job” there, which started with a photo shoot and ended with 4-6 hours of drinking and goofing and laughing so much. I guess all good things must come to an end, I think I was just hoping I’d drink myself to death there before it closed. Love you guys forever n ever 💔

We had an absolute blast at the @specialtyfoodassociation Summer Fancy Food Show earlier this week in NY. While the primary goal was to seek new opportunities and connections, it was SO MUCH fun connecting with our Philly region network and friends!!

So wonderful seeing you and spending time! ❤️

Please welcome our May Burger of the Month! Boomshakalacka aka the Dunk Burger features a single quarter pound beef patty, American cheese, bacon, pickles, fries, onion strings, mayo on a butter toasted Liscios bun with a side of our signature Main Street Cheese for windmill flushes off the backboard (or less impressive dunks we guess). Available at both spots and our new take out joint @luckysroadsidestand all month long. #boomshakalaka

Clam and smoked oyster chowder, f/seafood sourced from the tin towers at @hermanscoffee + pinches of @burlapandbarrel’s Spanish smoked paprika and killer cinnamon. Cinnamon in chowder is a tip I’m pretty sure I picked up from @lucasmanteca77 @quahogs 🦪🐚🥣

Part 2-shaping. People asked, so here it is. Well developed and mature doughs at this hydration lay like a baby blanket! Special thanks to @hermanscoffee for getting aprons that actually wrap around me! #pizza #pizzainteglia #pizzaintegrale #pizzainphilly #le5stagioni #le5stagioniusa #pizzaromana #phillychef #pizzaoftheday #chefsofinstagram

Re-up of @hermanscoffee’s delicious, reliable, not fancy or remotely West Coast-y “Diner” blend for #five4fifty. (I’ll never get the appeal of coffee that tastes like underripe plums.) So much respect for the Oregon Diner-inspired label, too.
