6/1 FIRST RUN 2026 GALLERY❄️

Snowy streets and minus degrees, ain’t stopping Place runners! A magical turnout today on our first run of the year, topped of with a fika at @fredsfoodandcoffee and sauna courtesy of Place runner @emma_orjas 💚

Well done by all to tackle a somewhat heavier run due to the snow!!

No place like Place🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏼‍♂️‍➡️

2025 RETROSPECTIVE: A year of extreme lows and highs. In February my beloved uncle passed away after battling the awful disease known as cancer. During the spring/summer I went through the motions mostly, reminded of what I had lost. Journaling helped but that sadness was rooted deep. I don’t wish that feeling on anybody, but sadly you will experience it at some point.

Beginning of autumn I decided to start running. Spur of the moment. Went to Löplabbet, got two pair of shoes and joined the first run club session I found on Strava on september 2nd: @goteborgrunningclub

A turning point. Running felt good for the first time. Joined @essrunnersclub for my first longer run. Had never done more than 6km before. Then @eastrunclubgbg for a social run and beers. Running felt great. And autumn rolled on with more and more running, but most importantly: meeting new amazing people and making friends. Joy came again.

Then first 12km
First race @mustaschmilen
First 16km @aeroboysclub
Starting my own run club @placerunclub
First trail race @becksvart.nu
First tempo run
First half-marathon
Activities like tennis, beach volleyball, padel, spinning, yoga, cold plunge, hang and beers, fika and football games.
And a trip to Finland with northern lights.

The thing 2025 taught me is this: death is inevitable, for all of us. One unknown day it will happen. So everyday I want to experience life. Make the most of my time on this blue pearl we call earth. Doesn’t have to be extravagant; just so see the sun, feel the wind, runners high, play a tune on the guitar, kissing a girl I love, drink a coffee, make a friend smile, dinner with family, enjoy the stars - those are the precious things. The joys of being human.

With me into 2026 I take these lessons: Enjoy being alive. Try new things and don’t postpone! DO instead of DON’T, except when it comes to getting upset over petty things.

Here’s to an amazing upcoming year!! Be the superstar you are❤️
