✨ The Double Standard ✨

The Double Standard is a jazz quartet built around two vocalists - Evita Amirova and Matilda Fatur (also on double bass), together with pianist Andrija Jakovljević and drummer Buğra Han Çobansarı. Through vocal harmonies, interplay between the two voices, and the spontaneity of collective musicianship, the group brings a fresh and creative approach to jazz standards.

Their repertoire features carefully crafted arrangements of well known jazz classics, vocal duets, original lyrics, and improvisation, all enriched with a subtle touch of theatre that turns each performance into a unique experience.

All members of the group are currently studying jazz at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.

Join us for an evening of jazz, vocal harmonies, and musical playfulness ✨

Good morning and happy Monday!

6 years ago, I moved my work up here to be away from other people - last year, I moved back here to be joined by people in this beautiful space 💙

And so I'm thrilled to announce that there will be a @kavcfestival performance on Friday, March 27th featuring @matildafatur "Where's the beat"? Free tickets need to be reserved as we only have limited capacity.

@aliki.katriou_vocals workshop on extreme vocals will take place on April 10th and is officially sold out - if anyone would like to join the waitlist, please send me a message.

For the rest, let's be kind with each other and I wish you all a wonderful week ☺️
