The story begins as a rosebud, held close and not yet fully revealed.

Across three acts, she moves from bare, to adornment, to transformation. Petals, lace and translucent textures slowly merge with the body, until she is no longer simply wearing the flowers. She is becoming one.

How does Teresa Palmer navigate a career in Hollywood while raising five kids? Simple, she puts them to work. She recruited her 12-year-old son, Bodhi, to read lines in her audition for the new Prime Video series God of War, and the director was so impressed, he not only offered both of them parts, but also her nine-year-old son, Forest. Teresa laughs as she tells the story in our October cover interview: “[My character] Sif is the goddess of fertility, so I wondered if casting thought, ‘Hmm, let’s get that actress from Australia with five children.’”

Based on the mega-successful PlayStation franchise, God of War is about a Spartan warrior who comes into conflict with various mythological gods. “[My kids] are not allowed to play violent video games, so I told them if I booked this job, I’d let them play,” she says.
