I’ve mostly experienced growth gradual, almost invisible, small steps toward something new. Other times, it’s more consuming, sparked by opportunity, change, or even pain. It’s like a seed breaking itself open and pushing through the weight of the earth above it.

Directing these episodes of Coolie was challenging, new, and deeply fulfilling. I’m grateful for the experience and for what came from it. I learned a great deal, explored new ways of working, and felt a real evolution in my artistry.

Much of my career has been in short-form work. I heard someone say I’d “gone off to do TV,” but it feels more like I’ve returned leveled up across the board, as a commercial director, as an artist, and as someone continuing to build narrative work. I’m grateful to the cast and crew who were part of that growth. Watching the episodes with an audience was incredible. Hearing the reactions, the laughs, the gasps, it was electric. I’m excited for people to see this work!

I’m also excited to release my new work I’ve been shooting the last few weeks.
