The primary goal of most strength and Conditioning programs is to become stronger, faster and more robust. Not to emulate anything close to the sport you take part in. Because of that you can have athletes from different sports training together for most of the work that needs to be done. - - - - - - - - - - - #conjugate #power #bjj #grappling #combatsports #muaythai #mma #ukmma #ukmuaythai #strength #strengthandconditioning#westsidebarbell #concurrent #specialstrengths #wrestling #ufc #boxing #judo #adcc

@ninawalker_nutrition and myself will be presenting a seminar/workshop on the 8th of October @staffsliftingclub covering the fundamentals of nutrition and SnC for combat athletes. Nutrition… What different food groups do and how they relate to your performance and health. How to build a balanced meal. Tips and tricks to minimise kitchen time. How to fuel pre session and recovery post session. Strength and conditioning… How to progress in the gym. What exercises to concentrate on. Why we monitor training stress and how to do it. How to go about planning training out of camp vs in camp. What energy systems you use in combat sports and how to train them. LIMITED TO 10 SPACES. £25 each on a first come first serve basis. - - - - - - - - - - - #conjugate #power #bjj #grappling #combatsports #muaythai #mma #ukmma #ukmuaythai #strength #strengthandconditioning#westsidebarbell #concurrent #specialstrengths #wrestling #ufc #boxing #judo #adcc

Strength and conditioning isn’t strength sports. But to dismiss the strength sport world all together when it comes to SnC is absolutely crazy. They are the strongest people on earth. You might not need a big bench for combat sports, but you need to become stronger. Doing single leg bosu ball work might seem specific to your sport on paper, the reality is. It’s nonsense. If you want to be stronger. Train to be stronger, have it make sense and fit to your sport. - - - - - - - - - #mma #ukmma #muaythai #ukmuaythai #bjj #ukbjj #ufc #cagewarriors #bellator #onefc #adcc #strength #strengthandconditioning #westsidebarbell #conjugate #kickboxing #boxing #wrestling #combatsports #punch #boxing #speed #power #jiujitsu #westsidebarbell #deadlifts #conjugate #conjugatemethod

Awesome day out with the @suuamuaythai lads at the @domin8academy inter club. Everyone looked great. Today we had @matt1.996 first time, mega impressed! Super proud of him for this. Then @scott_swench got two matches in today, turning the stereotypical body builders can’t fight thing on its head 😂 Top day out. Top matches.
