Now, the game is euchre. Begin by separating the nines, tens, face cards, and aces from the rest of the deck. The goal is to win at least three tricks. Now, if the side that picks the trump fails to get three tricks, it is said to be euchre. The highest trump is the jack of the trump suit, called the right bower. Partnership making trump wins three or four tricks and earns one point. Lonehand wins three or four tricks, also earns one point. However, a lonehand wins five tricks, that’s worth four points. Many euchre games are scored by rubber points, as in wist. Ooh, ooh! The first side to win two games wins the rubber!

To my fav divas, non stop club rats, the chosen family I didn’t know I needed, I wanted to say thank you.🤍 This past year we spent so many nights under dance floor lights, collecting more Snapchat memories than should be possible, and holding each other up (emotionally and sometimes literally.)

However, what really stood out to me is how safe I feel with you all, how seen, and most importantly how loved! This is the first time in my life I’ve had this big of a gay community and I couldn’t be more blessed that it is you all. You’ve helped me become more myself than I ever knew I could be.

So yes, we’re loud. Yes, we’re always at the club. And yes, we probably brunch far more than the average person. But underneath the fun shade is real love.

I love y’all. Thanks for making this city feel like home. Happy last day of pride🌈💖

Happy 2 Year Nashville Anniversary to me 🤠

When I moved to Nashville, I told myself that I’d give it 2 years. Well, it’s been 2 years and I don’t plan on leaving. I expected to love this city, but I never expected my life to become as vibrant and full as it has. I am so thankful for everything, the good and the bad, that led me to pack my bags and make the move. I’ve loved here. I’ve grieved here. I’ve lost here. I’ve gotten to rediscover and redefine who I am. I’ve gotten to explore parts of myself I never had the chance to. This city has transformed my life so drastically; in all the best ways possible. And I owe all of that to the people who I get to experience it with. Nashville was supposed to be a pit stop. But I found home in the process. I’m so grateful for this life. 🤍
