august, again . spent three weeks last month between brooklyn and seattle on two different projects, marking the end of a regrettable year-long hiatus. i forgot how important this is to me, about the world and all the people in it. i feel more myself then i have in so long. having a camera in hand and a story to tell is the closest thing in my life to a spiritual practice. i’m writing again, finally kicking saint helens up the hill now that i can afford to. somewhere between picking up where i left off and starting over. so much to share, so much left to do. . thank you to @sadieschoenberger and @phoebe3vans and the crew of Babyteeth for trusting me with shooting such a personal project, i couldn’t be more excited to share what we made together. and more about the doc i co-directed alongside @angelovisserr in the coming months. i’ll catch ya’ll in the next one <3

Alternator Film 🎬💫🙌 I had the pleasure of spending an incredible week working with such a wonderful and dynamic team. I enjoyed every second of it. A big thank you to our director Ida Roj for trusting me with one of the lead roles, and to the entire cast and crew for making this such a great experience. I hope the film has a beautiful journey ahead! #alternator #movie #actor

Recent PsFilmie graduate Matthew Westmoreland worked as a 2nd Assistant Camera on the short film RESCUE BREATHS, which filmed in late July in Long Island. PsFilmie Associate Teaching Professor Marni Zelnick was a co-writer and the assistant director on the project, while PsFilmie Assistant Professor Gustavo Rosa was a producer. The crew was mainly composed of former students of Gustavo’s and Marni’s and is currently in post-production. Filmmakers make films. Photo provided by Gustavo Rosa
