I was able to see the beautiful Mural of @lashesandlungs aka @vicky_tafoya_and_the_big_beat in her home town of Santa Ana. I found out about it and felt compelled to go . I didn’t get a chance to make it to her funeral. I have been seeing her perform for decades knew we lost a amazing performer and Legend. We Love you Vicky Beautiful speech @mattbeld77

Tuxie's, Summer of 1993. I had my '49 Shoebox that @51mercjohn (Merc John) chopped there and amongst the evening's beer-fueled festivities, a typical BS session with @robhallstrom who at the time was working on @vwtrendsmagazine at McMullen & Yee Publishing turned into a job referral that lead to an interview the following week with Tom McMullen, Ken Yee, and Tom Vogele. The opening was on @streetroddermag which I wasn't as interested in as much as Trends (I'm an air-cooled guy, like many), until they mentioned Custom Rodder mag was part of the deal. I'll take it ... well, it was my Ford that really sealed the deal according to Vogele, as I had ZERO experience and only my "borrowed" Canon F1 and some BS references to support my cause.

33 years later, back at Tuxie's where it all began ... chopped '48 Chevy this time, but nobody else from the early-early days except for my ol' buddy @zeakmcpeak and @spacegrass75 along with my usual host @mikeee_gthebarber and his lovely wife and my Rubidoux sidekick Dan with no IG and of course my favorite Rockin Coyotes/Los Infernos alumni @mattbeld77. And 33 years later ... still doing the damn thing with the magazines. I guess I'll never learn!
