Test shoots can be fun and special if you add unique garments.
Here @jjonathanazar is wearing a Unisex Trench coat that I designed a while ago. Pure wool, both sides Platted, more than 5 pounds heavy. Each side of the trench coat features a different design, belts on the sleeves and waist. Cape on the back and inside and outside pockets. And of course I matched it up with the @coach bag I always bring to shoots. Probably one of my favorite secrets is that I design clothes for men that woman can also wear. Eventually I’ll show you some custom sneakers…

Flared pants designed and made by me in gold colored raw silk.

Fashion had no place in my childhood. I never paid attention to it. It was never a part of any conversations.

When I was introduced to fashion photography, I was not equipped for a full time career as a photographer. So I went back to graduate school in New York.

For three years, I studied everything I could about art, fashion and photography - history of fashion, art, photography, styling, draping, construction, sewing, photography, film, critical theory, technology, painting, sculpture - with a singular focus on building my visual language of fashion.

It culminated in a thesis project that included designing garments from scuba diving, photographing the little details, making the clothes with fabrics, and presenting the garments and images in a gallery.
