Wonderful moments captured by the very talented @kealachingg_
Had a lot of fun this weekend wondering around #mthood spying on #salmon as they make their way up the river.

All that said, I’m kinda ready for winter stuff. ❄️

Easily one of my favorites moments from this summer so far.
Really excited for more adventures in the works. This was a nice cozy start to the day in #mthoodnationalforest with some @blackcoffee.mt and some warm sleeping bags from @patagonia
Scroll over for maximum goofiness

Just a small town pup, livin’ in a small sliver of relief.
.
Shade was a rare comfort during our time in Mexico. It was common we found ourselves darting between street corners not just to avoid the rushing traffic that seemed to have a vivacious urgency about it yet every car, motorcycle, truck and pedestrian seemed to flow efficiently within the narrow cobblestone roads but to hopefully escape the tremendous heat that ironically rained down at our noses and necks.
Skins tanned and clothes drenched in a combination of pungent sunscreen and salt laden sweat.
Before we could set down our bags it would be a hour taxi to a hour and a half boat trip to a quick 20 minute walk. No roads to where we are going. No roads.
.
We celebrated our arrival with incredible local food accompanied by drinks, lots of drinks. deep belly laughs and reminiscences of times spent together surviving the boat taxi.
Late the night would be, sleep would come later.
.
After time spent, we found our markets and sundries stores that would carry a variety of essentials and oddities.
For me, a loose cigarette and a mineral water, as the night before still on my mind.
Walks to the beach became ritualistic. Along the dirt path to town the brilliant variety of colorful flowers seemed to change daily mixed within a deep lush green cover of feathery fronds and and large healthy ferns.
We would walk past boulders that would open up grand views of the town ahead.
Closer to town the stone walkways are shared by many of all kinds, horses, motorcycles, ATVs, pedestrians, dogs oh... lots of dogs, cats, iguanas, toads of curious proportion and many more who choose to come out at night.
.
The remaining days are spent bathing in flavors of local produce and dishes best described as things you better f****** write home about, exploring the coast line and spending hours in the ocean.
.
If you find yourself lucky enough to end up here, be mindful of the locals be grateful for the opportunity to experience this beautiful and incredible place.
.
I will think of it fondly until I return.

Shout out to one of our rad Floor Leads, Matthew! He has been with the company for 6 years, initially working at the Palo Alto store before we stole him away to join us on the Portland team. Matthew loves to be in or around water and is most known to be adventuring on the coast with his cat Kevin (@adventurecatkev), biking, taking photos, or making music. At work he is always bringing great energy to the store or chowing down on a peanut butter and banana sandwich on his break. Matthew is such an integral human on our team. We thank you for all that you do!
