USPA Winter Showdown Recap!
went 10/10 in my first-ever federation meet, here were my attempts.
Squat
308.6⚪⚪⚪
319.7⚪⚪⚪
330.7⚪⚪⚪ (+11lbs pr)
Bench
176.4⚪⚪⚪
181.9⚪⚪⚪
187.4⚪⚪⚪
Deadlift
396.8⚪⚪⚪
407.9🔴⚪⚪ (broke some kind of national record on this attempt, you’ll hear her say it)
418.9⚪⚪⚪
430⚪⚪⚪ (got to take a 4th since I was extending a record) (+23lbs pr)

I am so so grateful for this opportunity and the support I got going into this meet. In no way did I think I would set any kind of record, the plan was to go 9/9 and take it conservatively on the bench and go balls to the wall on Squats and Deadlifts. Huge thank you to Matthew who programmed me for 13+ weeks going into this meet and having my back the whole way. Looking forward to what comes next 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Going into this meet my only expectation was to qualify for nationals. I did reach my goal, but was still disappointed with how this meet went. Bench wasn’t moving well today and it showed. Cutting down 23 pounds leading up to this meet was not going to help that either. This was the lighted I’ve weighed in 2+ years but I’m feeling great now. @jimmy_freeman88 we’ve got some work to do lol. See ya’ll in Baton Rouge 😎
