POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What a week at the QMC. 🤎

From the podcast conversations and live sessions inside the media hub, to the walks and talks around the grounds with @bush_tucker_bunjie, this week has been about capturing the people, the stories, the energy and the conversations that make the @abf_queenslandmurricarnival so special.

I’ve loved being able to support the @abffutureimmortals and spend time having some really meaningful conversations with both Kristian and Brad, learning more about the family legacy, the people and the stories behind it.

A huge thank you to Justin Loomans for helping guide so many of the conversations throughout the week. There is something pretty special about watching a good conversation unfold when people feel comfortable enough to simply sit down and yarn.

To @deadly_uncle @brenton.bowen @tuli_talanoa23 and everyone who got involved in the content production, jumped on camera, stopped for a chat, shared a laugh or let us follow them around the grounds — thank you. You made the week what it was.

And a huge thank you to @jademariepeats for the support behind the scenes, and to @blocker_84 and @_nicolelacey_ at @laceyeventsptyltd and IN Sport for trusting me to be part of it all.

I’m incredibly proud to represent @insport_app as a media partner and to play a part in helping capture and share these stories beyond the carnival grounds.

It’s been a long week — big days, lots of moving parts and a LOT of content — but I’ve genuinely loved every minute and every conversation.

And of course, to my roomie for the week, @bo_dlacruz — my sista. 😂🤎

We may eventually make it through Episode 5 of Bridgerton… 😜

Very tired. Very full. Very grateful.

Thank you to everyone who trusted us with their stories, welcomed us into conversations and allowed us to capture a little piece of what QMC means to so many people.

When @matthewcarmichael was an aspiring sports journalist, it was the support and mentorship from more experienced industry pros that gave him the confidence in his own career. Now Matt leads the communications team at @supercarschampionship , mentoring and hiring the next generation of sports media professionals himself.

Sending a big thanks to Kieran Pender at The Guardian and Matt Carmichael at Channel 7 for the fantastic coverage of Kai’s recent triumph in the Velodrome.

What an exciting journey we are about to go on and it’s wonderful to have the media support behind Kai for the steps to come. @sakakibarakai
