when i started michaeldoesdisney back in 2018, it was all about my love for disney.

but over the years, life has gotten so much bigger. matthew and i became dads, i’ve crossed finish lines i never thought possible, and we’ve traveled to incredible places. along the way, we’ve discovered so much about ourselves and the world around us. and THAT is what i love sharing with all of you.

somewhere in all of that, i realized that maybe DIZ doesn’t have to mean just one thing anymore.

so here’s to DIZTANCE, DIZTINATIONS, and DIZCOVERY. and of course, DIZNEY will always be a little part of the story.

same account. same me. just making a little more room for everything that makes life fun.

today is our 11 year anniversary (aka 10/10 with M&M) and somehow life just keeps getting better. from the million adventures we’ve taken to the million more that we will take and to the little family we’ve built, there’s NOBODY else i’d rather do this life with. here's a very random smattering of 20 photos of us - because it was quite literally impossible to choose. 🥹

NO DAY BUT TODAY. ❤️ there's NOTHING like changing all of your plans (flights, hotel, babysitter) to fly back to london (the morning after running the berlin marathon) when realizing a few days ago that @rentwestend was having their 2nd performance tonight after opening THIS past saturday. we couldn't be this close and NOT come see it. taking matthew out on a date to dishoom and to see rent was 110% the victory lap and celebration i needed after this amazing, exhilarating and exhausting weekend. AND this show??? this production?! wow. UNREAL. the cast, the set, the vocals, the theatre - just absolutely perfect. i love you london, i love you rent, i love you dishoom and i love you matthew! what a freakin' great way to end this trip. ❤️❤️❤️

I'LL TELL YOU what i want(ed) what i really really wanted... for @matthewdoesdiz to have the BEST birthday ever today - and i really think he did. 🥰 from dancing to the spice girls on the wannabe staircase, to hanging out with paddington with minidoesdiz, to a *fancy* lunch at mcdonald's, to the best fish & chips ever, to seeing PADDINGTON THE MUSICAL (which was just unreal) - with a whole lot of laughs, smiles and fun in between. matthew - thank you for being the best husband in the world but more importantly the best daddy in the whole world. we are BOTH so wildly lucky. thank you for the constant smiles, dance moves and words that you make up that don't always make sense. life is a LOT MORE FUN with you by OUR side. i genuinely look forward to swim lessons with minidoesdiz every week. watching her get more comfortable and confident in the water has been so much fun.

before becoming a parent, i never really thought about how early water safety starts. now i’m so glad we made swim lessons part of our routine from the beginning.

one thing i’ve learned: water safety isn’t just one thing. it’s layers of protection — active supervision, safe habits around water, and swim lessons that help build skills and confidence along the way. 🤍🏊‍♀️
