Big weekend for my nutrition client (and pal 🥹) Nicole!

75km, 3000m ascent, heavy rain, and all for her FIRST ultra is actually crazy behaviour.

Nicole came to me a few months ago because her training load was getting silly and she wanted some help making sure she was fuelling properly.

She absolutely nailed it. Did everything I asked, practiced her fuelling during training runs, recovered well, and (almost) never moaned just quietly cracked on with the work.

On Saturday, 75km deep, she’s still smiling, still feeling strong, and Tommy Furying her way past people to get to the finish line like an absolute pro.

The nutrition obviously matters, but you can’t out fuel being underprepared. She’s worked her arse off all year to get herself to that point.

First ultra.
75km.
Still smiling at the end.
Love it.

Mega proud of you Nicole. You absolutely smashed it!

Big week at @thelapwindermere for some of the online @jbncollective team.

Big shout to @sbell_90 @matthunt496 @beth_jbn @sarahmac_onetencoaching for absolutely knocking it out the park in horrendous conditions.

Big shifts out from all four of them training-wise over the past 6-9 months in preparation for the event.

Some fine tuning on their nutrition made sure they were able to get around with the dreaded bonk. Plenty of planning, testing and preparation went into getting ready for the big day to make sure it was a success 👊🏾

THE LAP ⛰️

11 hours 46 mins

Macs ultra diaries come to an end for 2026.

2/2 complete and 40 weeks of training dusted, it was all worth it and has definitely lit a spark that I will continue to light.

Another incredible event despite the torrential rain and mud slides. The highlight was definitely scranning pizza at the half way point.

Loved experiencing this one with the best friends and support crew you could wish for. A huge thank you to @beth_jenksx @fredfrost_ @harvey_gotts @sophiejo99 the energy everyone needed at every possible part of the race.

The ultras might be done for this year but the work continues.. T minus 6 weeks we go again!

ahh what a daaay

Weather was lovely, 3010m of ascent was delightful, knees aren’t sore at all.

Thanks for everyone who came out supporting us, I cannot tell you how much that was appreciated!

Walter worms were an absolute life saver at the top of Loughrigg

Go time

Me with all my mates.

Got separated in hours worth of queuing during the first 10km of the course

Bumped into these legends tho who let me tag long for the majority 🫶🏻

Just over half way

Legends, best support crew out there.

Mugshot

Proof, spent 14 hours tracking the run only to delete it at the finish line by accident, again 🙃

Another HUGE weekend for some of our clients.

Matt, Nicole & Mac all completed @_the_burden and ran 26.2miles starting from FBX BL6 and heading over Rivi tops, across to Winter Hill, Great Hill and back into Horwich (twice), all the while carrying a 20kg sandbag!

Absolutely unreal achievement guys 👏🏻👏🏻

Been a massive year for these guys already but we aren’t done yet, next up for the team, THE LAP! What better way to finish off the year than running 47 miles round the lakes eh..

All three of these guys have put in some serious mileage this year. What’s been most impressive isn’t just the miles though, it’s the consistency and dedication they’ve shown. They’ve trusted the process, stuck to the plan, and all their performances have continued to improve week on week!

Well done to everyone that took part and a massive shout out to @fredfrost_ for organising such a fantastic event, all to increase awareness about men’s mental health and try to get anyone struggling to speak up and ask for help. He’s also raised an absolute fortune for @andysmanclubuk so well done Fred 👏🏻 MEGA!

Fantastic event and all for a great cause! Give @_the_burden a follow and keep your eyes peeled for the next event!

THE BURDEN

It was a privilege to play a small part in such an incredible day.

@_the_burden is a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together to support one another and raise awareness of mental health.

Teams completed either 13.1 or 26.2 miles carrying a sandbag on their backs, symbolising the burdens that so many people carry through everyday life.

The day was filled with smiles, tears, encouragement, and unwavering support from everyone involved.

We were proud that Fitbox could provide the start and finish location, as well as the aid stations along the route. A huge thank you to our partners for keeping everyone going with hot pizza and ice-cold @jubelbeer when it was needed most.

We can’t wait to see even more of you there next year. 💙

Big weekend for some of my nutrition clients! @jbncollective

First up we had @matthunt496 @ashlewis.coach and @liamellisonfoster taking on the @team247community mission 247 event in Holmfirth. All 3 of them absolutely smashed it out the park completing all the runs and racking up some serious metres on the ski!

Saturday was @sarahmac_onetencoaching turn at the @lakeland_50_100 . 50 miles and came in under her target time of 12 hours 😁

Then earlier today man like @ross1987 hitting a new 10km PB at the Chester 10km.

Everyone had a plan going into the race so they knew what they needed to do and how to be fuelled not only pre race but during and after too!

All the prep and hard work paid off for them 💚

Mission 247 ✅

60k running

And a F*** ton of ski erg 🤣

What a team I had and what an event, such a mental battle however we have now completed it 📈

Thanks again to @ambitionsportuk for providing my self with some of there gear for the day 🤝🤝

Another massive thanks to @fitboxbuckshaw for providing gear, physios and tickets not just that being there and supporting us non of this would be possible without them today. Since I joined this gym I was welcomed with open arms so going to these event and doing my best is the least I can do for them 👊🏼
