In the last two weeks, our team advocated for personalized medicine on Capitol Hill, joined the conversation on peptide access at @pep.med , and closed it out at the annual @mahaaction Summit.

Healthcare is shifting. People are done settling for one-size-fits-all, and they’re taking ownership of their health. Personalized medicine is at the center of that shift, and @strivepharmacy is proud to help lead the charge. I told myself that was my last DC trip for a while but I’ll be back soon! 😝

So proud of this team, and this industry, coming together to push for something bigger than any one of us. We are Defying the Odds!

Our time in D.C. was filled with conversations about personalized medicine, compounding, patient access, and the policies shaping the future of healthcare.

For Strive, advocacy means more than simply showing up. It means building relationships, sharing our perspective, educating policymakers, and making sure the realities providers and patients face are part of the conversation.

We’ll keep showing up. And speaking up.

Where do I even begin about last week in DC?! What a privilege it has been to participate in a healthcare movement that’s advocating for patient access, provider discretion, affordability, personalization, etc. I truly believe this to be one of those things that will end up in case studies and/or history books one day.

With any disruptive movement, it requires a lot of stars to align: industry, infrastructure, provider confidence, consumer demand, regulatory shifts etc. The consumer demand is already there. In fact, it’s what’s driving all these shifts in the first place. Infrastructure and industry (such as @strivepharmacy) are innovating and growing. Regulations, however, no longer reflect these shifts. We’ve been frequenting DC in an effort to change that. To modernize the regulatory framework to enable patients, providers, and pharmacists to lead healthcare—not the big pharma and insurance overlords.

The trip started with poignant visits to various offices of members of Congress to deepen our relationship with them and ensure proper understanding of our industry and intentions at @strivepharmacy.

Day 2 was a peptide-trailblazing day, where experts, providers, entrepreneurs, etc. all gathered together to educate and collaborate about the future of peptides in healthcare there are several peptides that are on the cusp of being able to be compounded by a licensed pharmacy as opposed to only being available on the black market and we’re working together to enable patient access through higher quality, more dependable channels with appropriate doctor involvement. @pep.med put on an amazing conference that brought people from around the WORLD in order to make it happen. It was also really meaningful to meet online acquaintances in person to deepen our alignment on what we’re advocating for together.

Several critical, widely accepted procedures and therapies in use today were first discovered on the fringe of traditional practices by venturing into the unknown, and the unproven. That’s just happening again but with transforming today’s system to become more personal and nuanced.

DAY 2: Another Big Win for Peptide Therapy! 🇺🇸

Today marked another major milestone at the FDA Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC) hearing.

Following yesterday’s favorable recommendations for BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, and MOTS-c, the committee also voted in favor of recommending Semax and Epitalon for inclusion on the 503A Bulks List.

That’s six peptide therapies receiving favorable recommendations over the past two days—an encouraging outcome for patients, healthcare providers, and licensed compounding pharmacies committed to safe, regulated access.

Compounders have a long history of providing customized care for unique needs and stepping up during drug shortages—long before current discussions on GLP-1s.
