When @miaaustreng called me to join the @atlantawild grid team, I had so many feelings of doubt and so many questions. One of those questions being, what the fuck is grid league ? Flash forward 6 months, and it was one of the best things to ever happen to me. The friends i’ve made and relationships i’ve built in that short time are nothing short of amazing.

@unitedgridleague gave me the opportunity to go see what the world really is about and open my eyes to so many opportunities and perspectives. It also gave me a chance to learn - about myself and from others. You find a lot out about yourself when your 19 reps into a set of 16 KB clusters.

Also wanna give a shoutout to @mattphelan - for quite literally holding my hand through learning how to train - learning what an airport even is - and giving me the best opportunity to translate my skills to the grid. Couldn’t ask for a better coach 😎.

All in all, i’m incredibly thankful for the Wild for giving me this opportunity, and seeing in me what i didn’t see in myself. Even though we sucked ASS this year, i wouldn’t wanna go 1-3 with any other team. Go Wild. ❤️🖤

When Mia invites you into an abandon room… you don’t say no, and you don’t ask questions.

Throwing it back to training camp with upcoming episodes of Basement Chronicles. More coming soon 😎 #staywild

It’s Beach Brawl week…Raise your hand if I’ll see you there! 🏖️🙌

Competition week is not the week to try to lean out or “eat clean”. It’s time to fill the tank! ⛽️

I like to keep my meals simple and eat what I know my body responds well to. This is not the time to try new things or do things different. I start adding about 50g of carbs daily leading up to the event. Then more as it gets closer.

When packing for competition I focus on these things:

🍎 Carbs! Carbs on king on comp days. You need fuel and you need it fast. Do not be scared of the more processed carbs and even candy (yes I buy Nerds and Sour Patch Kids!) to hit that quick fuel. That being said, make sure you have had them before and find what works best.

🍲 Keep meals simple and eat what you know your body tolerates well. You don’t wanna try that new spicy heavy recipe the night before competing only to find out it doesn’t sit well. 😂…am i right Hyrox?

🥩 Dinner on comp days will be higher in fat as most of your competition day you will be lower fat to not slow down your digestion.

🥤 Use supplements you know work with your body to help facilitie quick glycogen replenishment, rehydrate, and get your protein in. Same goes for Pre-workout…do not try a new one right now.

A fueled athlete makes the best athlete, don’t let your training go to waste showing up on empty.
