Winter’s coming and we’re ready! 51 days until chairlifts are spinning in Aspen. Ski film premieres this weekend, breakfast chats about “Pussyfoot to Blondie’s,” fielding random questions about “how soon Red’s will be open” and talking through the pros and cons about possible trips to Alta or Jackson all with our boys. The excitement is real in our house. Ajax Pow Turns

This winter presented @colby_stevenson with tremendous ups and downs. Two @xgames medals, missing the Olympics, stacking clips in chest-deep snow in Japan, winning @naturalselectionski, and waiting for days on end in hopes of good filming conditions that sometimes didn’t arrive. But Stevenson’s a rare breed, and his delusional optimism, as he calls it, pushes him forward. A traumatic car crash left him with 30 fractures in his skull back in 2016. When you think about how far he’s come since relearning basic motor functions a decade ago, it’s beyond staggering. But incident delivered a vital shift in perspective that he credits his success with, and it’s why he won’t let one bad competition or snow year get him down. FREESKIER sat down with Colby, discussing the season that was and the season that wasn’t. His ability to continuously advance his craft is inspiring to say the least, and there’s no sign of a plateau in sight. Catch the full conversation at the LINK 🔗 in bio. // SKIER: @colby_stevenson , PHOTO: @lesliehittmeier @mattpower @chadchomlack // #FREESKIER #ThisIsSkiing

The last lap of the SBP Race Series is in the books. 🏁 Thanks to every racer who threw down, every rider who showed up just to shred, and the whole Snowmass crew that turned Tuesday nights into the best night of the week. This community is what makes the Snowmass Bike Park special. See you out there next year.

Finally made it out for the @snowmass_bikepark Race Series! I hadn’t done a race since 2021, so guess it was time. It’s also been a few years since I’ve done this trail. I didn’t get first, or last.. and I didn’t die so I suppose that’s a win in my book! Thanks for all the work that @aspensnowmass and the SM Bike Park puts into this series! 📸: @mattpower . . . . . . . #nobraap #mtb #snowmass #coloRADo #dh
