sometimes, things happen that are so massive, you can't begin to wrap your head around it. tonight was one of those times. everyone has heard of those fairytale moments where something is set in motion decades before... and then it comes to fruition way past it's assumed shelf life.

it happened to me tonight.

i dropped my oldest daughter off at her first youth group meeting of the year, and she asks me, "dad what is tonight going to be like?" as a former youth minister, i did my best to describe to her what it would be like, (gather, proclaim, break, send) but i had no clue how this was all going to shake out.

when i picked her up, she began to describe a message that focused on the universe, and how big creation was, and how God, the Creator of it all, chose to leave it all, to come to earth and die on a cross for His beloved... she felt so small! but prized!!!

it immediately vaulted me back to when i first met Louie Giglio, Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman, years before she was born. over the years, i've taken these guys on NASA tours and introduced them to astronauts. their music, writings and messages about an Indescribable God have traveled the world these past 15 years and reached millions. tonight, those words came home and reached my daughter!

a prophet is not welcome in his native land. my daughter would have never listened to these words from me. but tonight, she heard these words at youth group, after 15 years of traveling the entire earth (and space) to end up right back here...

wow!

It is with heavy sadness, we share that our dearest friend and colleague, Mr. Chris Reynolds has passed away from his battle with cancer. Chris was the greatest of gentlemen, the utmost professional, but mostly our dear friend. He will be missed, but moreover remembered for his kind and gentle spirit in which he led teams of people to do extraordinary work. Chris, you are forever family and we are grateful to have been a part of the journey with you. Thank you for all of the stories and memories that we’ll cherish forever. Goodbye Old Bean. #cancersucks #rip

had a great time today catching up with one of my former @lifeteen CORE members, astronaut @rgaran!
ron recently released a book entitled "the orbital perspective". inspired by the time he spent looking down upon the earth from the international space station, ron shares his amazing vision for what's possible on this planet if we look beyond our own individual needs and work together towards common goals!

check out the book for yourself and join ron on his journey to make the world a better place! #TheKeyIsWe
