We are mid-Phase 3 and Contrast Training is part of our Methodology as We Walk the Line and attempt to Balance Strength + Power Training @ipfnews … • The Concept is Simple, and the Execution is Everything… We use this as one of many Tools, but for our Population (many are Hardworking Overachievers) we are always attempting to become more Powerful… Strength comes quickly with Repetition, but Power is a more Complex Relationship > particularly as We Manage Life Outside the Gym as well… • Our Athletes are Trending Up in a Very Aggressive Way, and although it isn’t Perfect, it’s Real! • Let’s Get Better!

We have to Feel certain aspects of Movement more than others @ipfnews and the Emphasis Matters… Here I/We are Pushing our Athletes into a Plant + Cut Opportunity, and this isn’t a Day 1 Drill. We have been Training Movement and Strength for Weeks and they collide on this Drill… Adding Assistance/Resistance within Multi-Directional Drills can be very Beneficial, but the Coach should be always of Patterns, Deficits and Strength Levels before Applying > although fairly Safe, this is rarely one-size-fits-all… • We don’t look Bad here, and the remaing Sets of the Movement “Free and Smooth” Looked Terrific… • Progress isn’t Linear, and it must be Earned :) • Let’s Get Better!

@kayliegovoni3 does her 1st Chin-Up ever and We Love it @ipfnews… Imagine Training for Years and not being Excited about Your 1st Anything??? Crazy to Me, and although I wanted this Day to come sooner, I’m Happy it’s Here! Work on #2 starts now and Today is A Good Day! • Want to Keep People Healthy and Training for a Lifetime? We Demo, Remind, Implore, Demand and then We Coach @ipfnews and that’s the Fun Part! The College Group is ~14 Deep and there is a Broad Spectrum of Abilities and Learners. The Partnership makes it Easier to Accomplish More while also Making the Experience Better, as some of our Kids (and Adults) are Terrific at Asking for their Partners Best >>> a Skill We should All Possess… • There is plenty to Coach, and Every Rep isn’t Perfect, but We have an Environment that Provides for Opportunity, Feedback and Growth… • Let’s Get Better! • Final Note > We Love @ava_davey even when she has an “off-day” 🙏♥️🙏♥️

This isn’t the “Exciting” Portion of the College Workout @ipfnews but it’s certainly Important… Our Kids are Excellent at “Effort”, but sometimes it’s difficult to Transfer Effort into Efficiency… • Our “Partner Watch” is one way we slow down to Speed Up Learning + Absorption… The Partnership is Excellent and this is one of Our Favorite Stretches as it pertains to our Athletes… • We will end up going 90+ mph later during this Workout, but initially, as We Teach, the Speed is Slower so that Intake is Strong! • Let’s Get Better!

We think the Makes and Misses play a Huge Role in Training @ipfnews > hear me out… Yes, We want to minimize the amount of “Missed” Reps while Training for a Variety of Reasons: Joint Strain, Technical Inefficiency, Risk/Reward, Self-Awareness, Training Stimulus, etc… But the Misses tell Us where the problem exists, and provides an Opportunity to quickly Learn + Grow… Example: @kevincorrea.07 is Excellent with his Heavy Triple (Pull, Path, Body Position) but @nicole_schneiderr is a borderline Hot Mess (not entirely Her Fault)… Her Grip is Exhausted, Her Spot is Tardy and Her Form goes to Pieces as She Struggles… There are quick fixes, but they must be taken immediately or the Day is Lost (for Grip/Pulls). Nicole is also someone who should be very Strong w/regards to Strength/Bodyweight Ratios and Her Issues probably began in the Spring at College with a (lack) of Training Frequency >>> also potentially not Her Fault as 95% of Coaches (foolishly) choose Fotness over Strength for Kids that won’t be “In-Season” for x6months… • Finally, Quick Reminder for All Athletes, Your Strength is Your Job, and You Get the Credit (or Blame) for Taking Care of Yourself… • I Love that We Get to Work on All the Details each week, and Create Opportunities to Improve… LFG • Let’s Get Better!
