BEYOND THE SYLLABUS EPISODE 1 OUT NOW!

The idea for this show happened one night in 2024 when me and Jake were sitting in the LB 13th floor common room watching the YouTube video where RiceGum mails himself in a box. At that moment I thought I need to make a universe where it’s acceptable for a character to mail themself in a box. Thus, the birth of Archie Finnwyler. From outlining the characters with Cal last semester up until the all night edit sessions with Laokratis a week ago, this has been an extremely collaborative process. Everyone who worked on this show is amazing, we got so many wickedly talented people in one place. Go stream the episode (link is in my bio) and keep an eye out for more stuff on @beyondthesyllabus.emchan

Looking at me sideways….

I am within everyone and everything - you can always find me.

Last weekend I had the honor of being busy. I extracted 5 shows out of my system in 4 days. It left me creatively wrung dry, physically fatigued, and grateful. It is never lost on me the privilege of being an artist.

Community is everything. I feel rejuvenated in both my solitude and my extroverted-ness.

The past week I was in New York, practicing slowness in a busy, loud, fast paced city. I noticed how difficult it was to be against the grain. Slowness became a discipline. I found joy within getting out of people’s way, missing my friends, getting on the wrong bus, running out of water.

The practice of joy is a discipline until it isn’t.

I love you so so so so so much

In my Entirety,

Entifan

earlier this month principal photography on my thesis film sweet tooth wrapped <3 a few flights, a few train tickets, a few years, and over five thousand photos later (i counted — there must be some sort of world record broken here). so much hard work. so much love. so much gratitude. words will never be enough for all my insanely talented & brilliant & hard-working peers who brought this incredibly crazy & incredibly personal story to life. forever indebted. seriously. so much so that i am maxed out on tags but i love you all. even twenty photos isn’t enough!! જ⁀➴ ♡

i feel so very lucky & so very privileged to be making movies at such a specific time in my life with the help of so many lovely, lovely people. they say write what you know best, so mom & dad, i am so sorry. it’s a good fucking time.
