I graduated from the University of Sydney in 2013, completing my sports science degree. I very quickly realised that the degree didn't provide many job prospects

As with many graduates I started working at a commercial gym as an in-house personal trainer as well as part of the management team space. I quickly realised this wasn't for me and that I enjoyed working with people more than I did on the administrative side of things

I took the leap of faith, started an ABN, and started my own subcontracting business as a personal trainer

But I still wanted to learn about performance and connect with people who had a passion for movement and systems in place

That led me to connect with some great practitioners, people who I still call friends and clients

But I realised I wanted to work with athletes, specifically combat athletes, as that was a passion of mine and something I had been interested in since I was a kid

That led me to travel around the world to learn from the best coaches in the industry and to gain experiences that would make me the best coach I could be

I spent a lot of money travelling to America several times and all I can say is that every moment was worth it

I came back and started working with a small group of combat athletes, mainly for free or for very little money, to start getting my foot through the door and gain more experience with that population group

At 27 I opened my facility and very quickly established the best high-performance facility for combat athletes in the country

Very soon after that extended beyond combat athletes, and we welcomed athletes across almost every sport into our facility

Our team worked with athletes in every major combat sports organisation in the world

And at the time we were genuinely working with some of the best athletes in the world

I was blessed to travel with some of my athletes and connect with coaches who I used to watch on TV when I was a kid

Shared some pretty unique experiences

Walking out to stadium, undisputed championship ads

To being backstage with UFC athletes at the biggest events in Australia

I work with a lot of athletes and was a part of some pretty cool stories and comeba
