Our last few days in Athens were filled with new experiences. On my birthday we had a relaxing day at Lake Vouliagmeni. It’s a thermal lake with little spa fish that exfoliate your skin while swimming. It’s quite the experience and tickles a lot! We had dinner at Amphibian with a beautiful view of the Acropolis. The food was amazing! Our last day we went to a cooking class and learned to make some of our favorite Greek dishes. We went to a private villa with a local farmers market outside their door. All of the produce for our meal was bought at the market and everything tasted so fresh. It was a lot of fun and the food was so good. We have loved our time in Greece and can’t wait to come back to explore some more islands!

Our week at sea was amazing! We woke up each day to a breakfast made by our host/chef. We would sail a couple of hours to a swimming spot where we would relax for a couple of hours and have lunch prepared for us on the boat. Then we would sail to a new island to explore and have dinner. We went to the islands in the Saronic Gulf—Methana, Ermioni, Spetses, Hydra, Poros, Perdika, and Aegina. Each island had its own unique characteristics. We made sure to sample the ice cream on each island. They were all amazing! I enjoyed all of the time we had together swimming, talking, playing mahjong and just hanging out.

We snorkeled every day.

Discussed what islands we were going to see

Alex made the best food!

The captain caught these fish and made us ceviche

Cats are everywhere

We had octopus pasta and it was delicious

This fish was amazing!

Hydra has no cars on the island. They use donkeys for transportation.
