Photographed by goat @matylda.ci this summer, in between recordings, studio sessions and orange wine tasting with my best friends, the team met up at their gorgeous home in southeast , played dressed up to capture another important time in my life.
As the album is taking shape, I’m starting to notice how it has already transformed me and the world I’m creating for myself - and hopefully with the intention of becoming a better person, & artist for the world.

An immense feeling of euphoria as I got the news that we are on NME’s 100 list alongside some amazing artists. Thank you so much!

I believe in myself and I have a new motivation for continuing.

for the past 72 hours i’ve been raving between paris & Ldn and now that Instagram has the 20 image carousel option i think i might go back to uploading a whole photo album straight from my camera like I used to in my flickr/Facebook days…I guess this is another #lavalandzine (issue #4 ??) - 1st photo taken by @matylda.ci

We wanted to share some reflections on WET’s first summer all dayer and the pure joy of it all.

Firstly a special thank you to all of you. We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout or a more incredible vibe from you lot. From the beginning to the end for a whole 10 hours, the day was something truly special and we are beyond thankful for every one of you who brought your energy, your dance moves, your smiles and your spirit to make this a day we won’t forget anytime soon. 🥹

So much love to all the artists who brought the heaviest of selections all day, @sistermaticsound, @rubysound, @_sippin_t, @tashlc & @mesyma. @clarke.redd for footage and this 🔥 reel, @burneece and @matylda.ci for capturing the day so beautifully (as per), @weecolors for the 🥵 artwork, food vendors @cholaz.streetfood & @freewheelinpizza, our stunning door team @buitumelo and @nnahuo, and of course the amazing team at @thefoxandfirkin for holding it down and giving us free reign to do what we want!

We felt the spirit of our city and the love from our community for this space we have been building together, and we’re extremely grateful for all of it! 🫂

We appreciate alllll the feedback and thoughts on the day that have been shared with us so far, we’ll be back for more WETfest next Summer 👀💦
