Two people that really looked out for me during elementary school and will have a lifetime of love and gratitude for. • • Mr.Kimoto I can cleary remember a day that I didn't want to go to class because I was afraid of not being able to communicate and be understood because I couldn't speak fluent English yet... When you came over I thought I was going to get scolded for skipping class and instead you showed sympathy, understanding and acknowledged me for who I was and made me want to go to school and learn English no matter how difficult it was at the time. • • Mr.Fukushima I remember wanting to socialize with classmates and ended up going to the basketball courts watching the team practice. You asked me if I wanted to join and in that instant I remember feeling pure joy that I was being acknowledged and part of a team striving for something together. • • Being positive, empathetic, and grateful is just practical. We never know who's life is affected and truly appreciate all the amazing people who have impacted me growing up. 🙏
