Happy Indigenous People’s Day!
Throughout 500 years of colonization, we remain strong and reclaiming our time and space. We are doctors, lawyers, educators, scientists, and still have our languages, philosophies, and spirituality.
Talking to my son @mauithebigredgoalie he reminded me of this pic we took post game a couple years back. Even the sport of lacrosse runs through him and his brother’s DNA; they’ve battled to create time and space for our Native folks to enjoy lacrosse 🥍

The River Runs Red!!!! Game 5 of the Sooners season and I had the opportunity to head down to the cotton bowl to see our sooners beat Texas. It was more than words can describe. After pep gigs and a great banquet, I wake up to the best game ive ever had the chance to be at. The noise, the fans, the excitement of the game. It was just amazing 👏. I am so glad to be able to do this with the Pride and see my family. BOOMER SOONER

Things bigger than running, rivalries, and everything else…
Hella proud of my cub for taking on one of his passions of being a musician. We ventured to OU and watched him and the Marching Pride in action. It was a fun atmosphere. And needless to say, the Sooners dominated in a total BTA style game.

Been a part of the #CreatorsGame (lacrosse) for 30 years. Just a snotty nose kid from middle of Oklahoma in 1996 picked up a lax stick that my Mom and Dad bought, never looked back. At its heart, it’s still a warrior’s game and community game; at the same time, you have to take care of the game for it to be “the medicine game”. Here are some of my favorite times…
